Strong Winds Again, and Drain And Flush

Rantoul, IL.
76 deg. mostly cloudy, wind out of the SW and 22 mph with gusts up to 32 mph.
forecast today = high temp. 78 deg. mostly cloudy, with showers in the morning then sunny in the afternoon. W. wind @ 15 to 20 mph w/30 mph gusts.

AAAKKKKKK!!!! I am really tired of this wind!!!!! The wind blew hard all day yesterday, (gusts over 40mph), and even though there's a cold front coming through, (more than likely this morning), it's still supposed to be windy for the rest of today too!!!! On top of that, yesterday we were very close to the record high of 92 deg. and now they're forecasting a low tonight in the 40's!!!!!!

Jim had shut off my water heater on Wednesday, so he went out early yesterday morning and drained and flushed it while it was cool. There really wasn't too much "junk" in the tank, but it was good to get it flushed out.

The rest of the day was spent inside, fooling around with the computers, reading, taking a nap and watching TV, while Linda worked on her current embroidery project, got the budget caught up, took a nap and watched TV.

For dinner, Linda put together a nice meal of left-over steak, cauliflower and potatoes.

Oh, and the city workers were here in the park again yesterday, cutting down more ash trees. I don't know if they're done or not, because they're working way over at the North end of the park, and I can't see them very well from my site.

Did you know that September is "National Mushroom Month"?

  1. I have NEVER gotten used to the wind in our motorhome. Hopefully your winds will be gone soon.
This week our highs have been nearly 98 a few days. We are sooooo ready for some cooler weather.
    You all take care!

  2. At least you're not on the road when the high winds came! I hate it when that happens. :)

  3. Yep wind is no fun! Even in our small Roadtrek, it is a pain, can't imagine dealing with it in a class A! Driving in it must be a real challenge! Hope the winds die down soon and more comfortable weather comes your way.
